I now generally use the Mac version of Office with little difficulty - although some of my 2,000-slide files crash on the Mac side, but open perfectly in the Windows VM. Microsoft's Office applications have been updated on the Mac and they're pretty much at parity with the Windows version. The big standard applications work well on both platforms.
